Pittsburgh native Daniel R. Losco is the founding partner of Losco & Marconi, P.A., a Delaware civil litigation and transactional law firm. Mr. Losco received his bachelor’s degree in Health Planning and Hospital Administration from The Pennsylvania State University at State College, Pennsylvania in 1980 and is a 1984 graduate of the Delaware Law School of Widener University. While in law school, Mr. Losco was a two year member of the law review serving on the Board of Editors of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. Mr. Losco was also recognized for his academic leadership in the 1983-1984 publication of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Prior to establishing the firm in July, 1995, Mr. Losco was a partner in the Wilmington firm of Sawyer & Akin, P.A. for six years. He served as the City Solicitor for the City of Delaware City from 2000 through 2011 and has been the current City Solicitor for the City of New Castle, Delaware since 2011. He is currently a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Delaware Bar Association. Mr. Losco was recently recognized in 2010, 2011 and 2012 as a Five Star Wealth Manager in Delaware Today magazine for his work in estate planning and administration.
Mr. Losco’s practice reflects a varied array of interests and experiences. He has been heavily involved in land use, zoning and commercial real estate transactions. His litigation experience extends across a spectrum of areas including real estate related litigation, personal injury cases, business litigation and the defense of civil rights claims. Presently, Mr. Losco’s practice focuses on three principal areas: commercial and residential real estate transactions and litigation; municipal representation; and wills, trusts and estate administration. Representative clients include TD Bank, Bryn Mawr Trust, Mid-Coast Bank, Old Republic Title Insurance Company, Delle Donne & Associates, First State Community Loan Fund, NCALL, Interfaith Community Housing of Delaware, Inc., various local businesses and a variety of condominium and community maintenance associations.
Mr. Losco has enjoyed an active role in Delaware Bar Association and local civic activities. He is a long standing member of the Bar Association’s Real and Personal Property Section, the Estates and Trusts Section, and the Law and the Elderly Section. He is a past director of the American Heart Association, Delaware Affiliate and the AHA Research Committee. Mr. Losco formerly served as a five year board member of the New Castle County, Delaware Head Start Program. He is currently a Board member and the Secretary of the Christina Cultural Arts Center in Wilmington. He has been a regular speaker at public seminars conducted by both the Delaware Bar Association, the National Business Institute, the YWCA, Neighborhood House and other private organizations on topics including Real Estate, Estate Planning, and Legal Ethics.
